Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park - East Java


Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park is a National Park in East Java, Indonesia, located in the administrative area of ​​Pasuruan Regency, Malang Regency, Lumajang Regency and Probolinggo Regency. This park was established since 1982 with an area of ​​about 50,276.3 ha.

This national park is one of the main tourist destinations in East Java. With the direct flights Malang-Jakarta and Malang-Denpasar is expected number of foreign and domestic tourists will increase. In addition to Mount Bromo which is the main attraction, Mount Semeru which is the highest mountain in Java Island becomes a special attraction for the climbers. Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park has a sub-montana, montana and sub-alphin ecosystem type with large, hundreds-year-old trees including mountain pine, jamuju, edelweis, various species of orchids and rare grasses.

Fauna


The rare and protected animals in this national park include mongoose (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus), deer (Deer timorensis), long-tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis), deer (Muntiacus muntjak), red jungle (Gallus gallus), leopard (Panthera pardus weld), ajag (Cuon alpinus javanicus); and various species of birds such as alap-alap (Accipiter virgatus), hornbills (Buceros rhinoceros silvestris), boom snake eagle (Spilornis cheela bido), black srigunting (Dicrurus macrocercus), eagle bondol (Haliastur indus), and grouse living in Ranu Pani , Ranu Regulo and Ranu Kumbolo.
